Documentation: Supported Formats

Find the up-to-date reference that explains which media types are supported in Bloomsy.

Supported file types

Photo-enabled plans accept common image files such as JPG, PNG, HEIC, or HEIF. Plans that allow videos also accept MP4, MOV, GIF, and other standard video codecs. PDF files and other non-media formats are not processed.

The event owner remains responsible for collecting the necessary consents and rights for every upload, whether it is a photo or a video clip.

File sizes and storage

  • Maximum single file size: limited by the global cap of 30 MB and the remaining free space in your plan (storage limits are stored in MB). If your remaining storage is lower, that smaller number is the real limit. There is no fixed 500 MB cap.
  • Maximum files per upload batch: up to 100 files at once.
  • Total event storage: tied to the selected plan and can be extended anytime during the event.
  • Upload flow: we use the TUS protocol to upload files in chunks. For very large batches, break uploads into smaller sets and rely on a stable connection because extremely slow transfers may time out.

Files stay in their original state—videos and images are not transcoded or recompressed, so the stored quality matches what guests submitted.

Playback and preservation

We do not convert videos into other codecs. If you need a specific format for playback or distribution, prepare it before uploading; we simply keep the original upload intact.

Updates and support

We refresh this page whenever supported formats change. If you encounter issues or need to support an unusual codec, please contact support@bloomsy.eu.
